Aynsley, Traditional Imari, Covered Sugar, Vintage, Antique, Ceramic, (Looks Like Royal Crown Derby)
A very pretty and gorgeously patterned cobalt blue and red covered (lidded) two handled sugar bowl, with generous amounts of gold in the Traditional Imari pattern #5500 from Aynsley (England)
This looks very similar to the Traditional Imari pattern (2451) created by Royal Crown Derby during the same time period.
This particular piece was likely created in England sometime during the 1920s.
Minimal wear and in very good vintage condition. There is a tiny flaw (small crack) at one of the handle joins (please see images). This is under the glaze and was apparently created this way at the Aynsley factory. The handle is sturdy.
A rare find.
