New Chelsea Garland Staffs, Hand painted, Vintage Teacup and Saucer
Elegant and sophisticated, this is a vintage fine bone china teacup and saucer set of the Garland design by New Chelsea, Staffs (Staffordshire). Made in England.
Embellished with pretty draped florals with both pink purple transfer and hand painted green and orange details against a clean white background trimmed in gold.
The maker's mark on the base of both the cup and saucer is known to be used between 1919 and 1961. Because of the style of this cup and saucer, we think this set may have been produced closer to 1919.
Slight wear includes minimal but present wear of the gold on the drinking edge of the cup and a wee bit of wear on the base of the cup. Please ask and we can send more images if you would like to see even closer images.
- Cup is 2.25" (6.5cm, 65mm) tall, measured without the saucer measured from the cup base to the top of the handle.
- Saucer is 5.5" (14cm, 140mm) in diameter.
- Very minimal wear commensurate with age.
