"Salaman and Absal" is a Persian allegorical Sufi poem by Nur ad-Din Abd ar-Rahman Jami (1414-1492), while "Bird Parliament" or "Conference of the Birds" is a poem by Attar of Nishapur. Both are translated by Edward Fitzgerald.

This copy is quite rare and is known as the Trinity Edition, published in 1899 by L.C. Page and Company Incorporated, with an introductory note by N.H. Dole. There is some minor wear on the exterior but the pages are in immaculate condition.
