Small Round Blue Corde Vintage 1940s Handbag , Round Purse
Popular in the 1940s, corde fabric was created by stitching rows of gimp in patterns onto a fabric background. This little handbag is a wonderfully crafted example of this genre.
Simple in its features, this modest sized handbag is enough to carry the minimum during the day and can also be a fetching accessory for any evening plans. Lined with a matching black satin fabric, the interior is in great shape with very little sign of wear. The short, matching corde handle is just enough to securely drape in the crook of your arm and the original zipper on top is in beautifully working order to secure your essentials for the day ahead. Overall, this sweet little accessory is in terrific condition for its age.
