A vintage Pendelfin figurine, "Strike", the baseball player, batter.

Features an cheerful anthropomorphic rabbit of stonecraft ceramic, wearing red pants, a white shirt with red star and red sleeve and collar edges, a red and white baseball cap on backwards, and green and white sneakers.

He stands upon a green grassy mound and is in a batter's stance, with baseball bat raised, and his mouth agape in anticipation of the pitch.

Marked "PD", "TG", and "MADE IN ENGLAND".

This particular figurine was designed by pendelfin artist, Tony Green, around 2001.

These fanciful anthropomorphized rabbit figurines came from the lively imaginations of artists Jeannie Todd and Jean Walmsley Heap. Production of these figurines began in the 1950s. The primary designer of these Pendelfin rabbit figurines, Jean Walmsley Heap, passed away in 2008 and the production of Pendelfin from England virtually ceased. This item is an example of work produced in England under the Pendelfin name before production of these was moved overseas.
